Hi,

This laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1100.  It has 256 megs of ram (2 chips of pc2100 ddr ram of 128 megs each), a Intel Pentium 4 2.2 ghz processor (Not a Celeron), a 14.1″ screen, power adapter, and battery.  All of the ports, plugs, cd drive, etc. worked well at the time that I pulled the hard drive.  This laptop is listed as is with no warranties expressed or implied.  It should be viewed as parts or a donor laptop for a project.  The important points are as follows:
It has NO HARD DRIVE.  The pan to put a new drive is there and the screws and adapter are taped inside the pan if needed to install a new drive. The power adapter was worn out and the wires had to be spliced and put back together.  It charges fine but the adapter is not pretty. The screen flickered before I stopped using this laptop.  I don’t know what problem that may point to but wanted to mention it.The “Control” key is missing on the keyboard.
If you’re buying this just for parts, you do get:
    CDRW Drive    Battery
Hard Drive Tray    2 sticks of 128MB DDR PC 2100 RAM    14.1 inch LCD Screen    Power adapter (not in great shape but does work)    2.2 ghz intel pentium 4 processor    All other partsI’ve looked around elsewhere on Best and found that the battery alone is worth at least $50, and the other major parts are worth money as replacements and in great condition to replace parts needed on other machines.  There are probably hundred’s of dollars in parts here if you take the time to take it all apart and sell it all.

I’ve removed the hard drive and installed it into another laptop and I don’t need the parts that remain. If you have a hard drive, software and possibly a graphics card?, you’ll have a working laptop inexpensively.  That’s exactly what I did.  I took this hard drive and installed it in a slightly newer Dell Inspiron that had a trashed hard drive and now I have a working machine.

Shipping will be actual cost based on weight and location and I will pack it well.   Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding and I will be happy to answer what I can.  I’m not a business and am selling this as parts so please, no returns on this item.  Please check my feedback as well as I do my best to accurately and fairly describe what I have sold.  This is a NO RESERVE auction so the highest bidder will own it.  Please don’t bid if you’re not serious about buying it.  I expect payment in full within 5 days of the auction ending.  I prefer paypal but will accept a money order if necessary and will ship the package the next business day after I have confirmed payment.

Thanks and good luck!

Just an FYI, the laptop and power supply are now boxed up and ready to be shipped in a box (dimensions of 13″ X 16″ X 3.5″) that is packed with paper and plastic (for cushion). Its weight is approximately 10 pounds per my home scale. I will ship it however you choose and with insurance if you want it (please specify if you want insurance and for how much). Thanks! art of CHANGE! Obama vs. McCain
http://www.TedStanke.blogspot.com A mosaic made from chopped-up American coins serves as a metaphoric analysis of the upcoming election. Obama is made from pennies & nickels, lots of them, while McCain is superimposed over a small amount of dimes, quarters and dollars. A fixed metaphor describing the current concentrations of wealth in relation to the number of voters each candidate represents. Please vote!!! (correctly!)
